Taman Ayun is located about 18 km north of Denpasar in Badung regency, heading towards Singaraja. Built by a King of the Mengwi dynasty, the inner temple is surrounded by a moat on three sides and features 11 towers known as "merus" or multi-tiered shrines. The temple also forms part of the Unesco-regognized subak system sites.

Calm atmosphere, beautiful site

I think this is the worth place to visit in Bali. The temple site is surrounded by narrow trench, and the garden is cleaned and trimmed. I recommend going there in the evening and taking your time to walk around the temple site, because it’s too hot if you go there during daytime.
